If your DOF Reality platform has stopped moving or has a Red X next to Motionbox in Hardware Status, please try the troubleshooting steps below: 


If there is a Green Check Mark next to Motionbox, but the platform is not moving, please try the steps below: 

  1. Testing the DOF Reality Sensor
    1. Please follow chapter 5.4 of DOF Reality Instruction Manual to run a SMC3Utilis SINE test for 30 minutes.
      1. The test passes if platform does not stop moving and the green line (sensor position) is close to blue line (information sent to the motor).
      2. If the test fails due to the platform stops moving, please contact DOF Reality Support with the results of the test.

  2. USB Troubleshooting
    1. Windows can sometimes have issues with USB devices. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:
      1. Try a different USB port on your PC.
      2. Do not use a USB HUB as they can cause USB conflicts
      3. Try a different USB cable. 
  3. Update Windows 
    1. Verify you have the latest update to Windows
    2. Once updated, check in Windows Device Manager that USB-SERIAL CH340 is listed under Ports (COM & LPT)
      1. If USB-SERIAL CH340 is not listed in the Windows Device Manager, please contact DOF Reality Support 

  4. Google Chrome Installation
    1. If you continue to have issues, please install Google Chrome
    2. In Sim Racing Studio, go to SETUP > App and in the Startup Options section, select Google Chrome as the Default Browser
    3. Close Sim Racing Studio
    4. Restart Sim Racing Studio


If the troubleshooting above does not resolve the issue, please perform a Factory Reset of Sim Racing Studio.
