Please use the troubleshooting below to resolve the following issues with Assetto Corsa:

  • Bumps, curbs, and off-track driving are excessively jarring.

Bumps, curbs, and off-road are jarring due to excessive heave.

Assetto Corsa's telemetry for heave is extremely small ranging from 1 to 2 in most vehicles and up to 3+ in higher performance cars. To lower the amount of jarring motion felt when hitting bumps, curbs, etc, try the following steps:

  1. In Sim Racing Studio, go to TUNING > Motion

  2. Increase Smoothing Effects for Heave in factors of 5. For example, go from 15 to 20, up to 25, then 30. As you get closer to 50, smoothing may reduce the smaller bumps felt during a race.

  3. Next, decrease the Effects slider for Vert G Heave a single digit at a time. Much like Smoothing Effects but in reverse, as you get closer down to 0, the effects may no longer be felt for smaller bumps.  This will all depend on the telemetry for the specific vehicle in Assetto Corsa being utilized.

  4. Finally, increase the Max Telemetry for Vert G Heave a single digit, then reduce the Smoothing Effects and Effect slider to their original position and start from step 1 again until the desired motion is felt.
