Please use the troubleshooting below to resolve the following issues with a YawVR motion platform.

  • Multiple YawVR platforms on the same network

  • YawVR no longer visible on network

Multiple YawVR platforms on the same network

If you receive the following message in Sim Racing Studio "Please set the name device_id of the Yaw VR that you want to connect in the config file", then there is likely multiple YawVR platforms on the same network.


In order to solve the issue, follow the steps below:


1. Close Sim Racing Studio

2. Open the documents/simracingstudio 2.0 folder

3. Select and Open the config.ini file

4. Under [Yaw VR] session replace 

device_id = ""

with

device_id = yawvr_ip_address

for example:

device_id = 192.168.1.25

5. Close and Save the config.ini

6. Reopen Sim Racing Studio



YawVR no longer visible on network

If your YawVR platform is no longer seen by Sim Racing Studio, ensure the PC used for the YawVR platform does not have access to multiple networks.  This will cause an issue with detection for the YawVR platform even if you have set the IP in the config.ini folder.
