Please download the Latest Beta to resolve any issues with Sim Racing Studio stuck on Loading.
If after installing the Latest Beta, v2.26.11.0, Sim Racing Studio is stuck on a Loading... screen, freezes when opening or crashes, try the following troubleshooting steps:
- Try using the Latest Beta of Sim Racing Studio from the Download page.
- Set Sim Racing Studio to be run as an administrator from the steps below:
- Right click the SimRacingStudio 2.0 shortcut on your desktop
- Select Properties at the bottom
- Select the Compatibility tab
- In Settings, check the box next to Run this program as an administrator
- Click OK at the bottom of the window
- If you are using Windows Defender as your anti-virus software, allow simracingstudio to communicate in both Private and Public by following the steps below:
- Go to Control Panel
- Select Windows Defender Firewall
- Select Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall
- Click on the Change Settings button
- Scroll down until you find simracingstudio and ensure both the Private and Public boxes have a check mark in them as seen below:
- Click OK at the bottom of the window.
- If you are using an anti-virus software that is not Windows Defender (such as AVG, Avast, or Norton), please uninstall the anti-virus software and restart your computer. If Sim Racing Studio opens, please add an exception for Sim Racing Studio when re-installing your anti-virus software.
- Change the webui_port to 43733 by editing the config.ini file located in your ...\Documents\SimRacingStudio 2.0 folder with Notepad and change the following setting in the [APP] section:
[APP]
webui_port = 43733
Save the config.ini file and then restart Sim Racing Studio. - If chaning the webui_port to 43733 did not resolve the issue, set edgex as the default browser for Sim Racing Studio and verify webui_port is still set to 43733 by editing the config.ini file located in your ...\Documents\SimRacingStudio 2.0 folder with Notepad and change the following setting:
[APP]
default_browser = edgex
webui_port = 43733
Save the config.ini file and then restart Sim Racing Studio. - If you are using Microsoft Edge, please download and install Google Chrome from https://www.google.com/chrome/. Once Google Chrome is installed, set chrome as the default browser for Sim Racing Studio and verify webui_port is still set to 43733 by editing the config.ini file located in your ...\Documents\SimRacingStudio 2.0 folder with Notepad and change the following setting:
[APP]
default_browser = chrome
webui_port = 43733
Save the config.ini file and then restart Sim Racing Studio. - If after making the changes to the config.ini file they are reset, try pausing syncing with OneDrive and make the changes again starting with Step 5 above. To pause OneDrive syncing:
- Select the white or blue OneDrive cloud icon in the notification/menu area.
- Right-click the OneDrive icon on the taskbar and select Pause syncing > 2 / 8 / 24hours.
- Choose how long you wish to pause for: 2, 8, or 24 hours and check that the white or blue OneDrive cloud icons in the notification area shows Paused.
